Baked Goat Cheese Skillet with Calabrian Chili and Olives

SERVES:    4-6

PREP TIME:   5 minutes

TOTAL TIME:   10 minutes

COURSE:  Starter

An easy way to incorporate the finest gourmet olives and Calabrian chili peppers to our already delicious goat cheese.


  Ingredients

  • 12 oz goat cheese, sliced or crumbled
  • 2 Tbsp crushed Calabrian chili peppers (adjust to your desired spice level)
  • 1/2 cup pitted olives, cut in half
  • 2 tsp fresh thyme, minced
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Citarella baguette, to serve

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to broil.
  2. Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat, then remove from heat. Add in goat cheese, Calabrian chili and olives. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Transfer to oven and broil for 3-5 minutes until cheese is bubbling and beginning to turn golden. Watch carefully so it doesn’t burn.
  4. Remove from oven and top with fresh thyme and drizzle with honey. Serve with Citarella baguette and enjoy!
